How To Protest Against Gun Laws With A Dildo

What is in your school bag? There are the essentials: writing utensils, books, lunch and your sex toy. Wait, what? If you are a student in Texas or if you will be visiting a public campus in Texas around August 1st 2016, don’t be surprised to see students with dildos hanging from their school bags. Nope, it’s not because Texas turned into the national sex toy state, it’s a protest against gun laws.

Half a century ago tragedy struck at the University of Texas in Austin. On August 1st in 1966 a student by the name of Charles Whitman killed 16 people and injured 32. Exactly 50 years later a new law will allow students to carry guns on public Texas campus properties. Over 10 shootings have taken place in universities and colleges in the United Stated in 2015 alone. One student from the University of Texas at Austin decided to take action.

Jessica Jin is the woman behind the Facebook event: Campus (Dildo) Carry, which is already supported by 7K students. Jessica calls to all Texas students to strap a dildo to their schoolbags in protest to the new law regarding gun carrying on public Texas campuses. With this #CocksNotGlocks action, students hope to change this law back to how it was before: no guns allowed. “We are strapping gigantic swinging dildos to our backpacks in protest of campus carry. We’re all a bunch of dildos for allowing this debate to go on for so long,” Jessica wrote on social media.

So why use a sex toy as your flagship? Well, in Texas students who carry sex toys on campus can get reprimanded under the Texas Penal Code. Pretty much every university and college in Texas stated that students are not allowed to bring these kind objects to school. Bringing your gun however shouldn’t be a problem as of August next year. What do you think? Could this sexy protest actually change the gun laws to be installed?
